Restore Hard Flooring Water Damage | DIY Water Damage

Regardless of if you have dirty, grey, or clean water, you will be cleaning your water damaged hard flooring the same way. This article is for HARD flooring, including concrete, vinyl, tile, and more. Note: This is NOT for wood!

1. Fill your mop bucket with either your disinfectant or deodorizer first. Do not fill it up with both at the same time!

Neither you nor I know what kind of chemical reaction could occur if both were mixed together.

2. If using a concentrated product such as OdoBan™, you will need to read the instructions on the packaging and dilute accordingly.

3. Mop your sub flooring using a liberal amount of product, but do not re-flood the area! If you are using two different products to disinfect and deodorize, you must now repeat the process with your other product after your first had dried, evaporated, and dissipated.

Be cautious of the slippary and hazardous conditions that can exist after combining water and a hard surface!
